Scott Butterworth was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Southern Cross Media Group in February 2026, bringing more than 20 years’ experience leading growth, turnaround and transformation programs across financial services and technology. He is recognised for his disciplined approach to capital allocation, strong operational focus and ability to deliver sustainable performance in complex environments.

Prior to joining Southern Cross Media Group, Scott served as Group CFO at PEXA (ASX:PXA), where he led finance, strategy, risk and capital management across Australia and the UK. During his tenure, he delivered double-digit revenue growth, significantly increased EBITDA, restructured debt and initiated the company’s first post-IPO capital return. He previously held the roles of CEO of Digital Solutions and Chief Growth Officer at PEXA.

Earlier in his career, Scott was CFO of Consumer Banking at Westpac and spent a decade at National Australia Bank in a series of senior executive roles across finance, strategy, treasury and risk. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at Slater and Gordon for three years.
