Rebecca Ackland was appointed Chief People Officer of Southern Cross Media Group in February 2026. She previously served as Chief People & Culture Officer of SCA from 2022 and has played a key role in shaping the organisation’s people strategy and supporting its transformation.

As Chief People Officer, Rebecca leads the Group’s people and culture strategy, overseeing the integration of teams, capability and culture of the group following the successful merger of SCA and SWM. She is responsible for talent, organisational development, employee engagement and change, focusing on building a high-performing, values-led culture that enables growth and innovation.

Rebecca joined SCA in April 2018 as Human Resources Business Partner for Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. She was promoted to People and Culture Manager in 2020 before joining the executive team in 2022. Her leadership has been key in fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the organisation is equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. 

She holds a Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management & Industrial Relations, and has completed the Senior Executive Program at London Business School.
