Ryan is Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of SGH Ltd (ASX: SGH) and has been a Director of SGH since April 2010.

SGH owns WesTrac and Coates, has a controlling interest in Boral (72.6%), an investment in Beach Energy (30%), and investment in Seven West Media (39%). Ryan is Chairman of WesTrac, Chairman of Coates and Chairman of Boral and Director of Beach Energy.

Ryan is Chief Executive Officer of Australian Capital Equity Pty Limited (ACE). ACE is a private company with its primary investment being an interest in SGH. Ryan is Chairman of the National Gallery of Australia.

Ryan holds a BComm from Curtin University and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM). Mr Stokes was appointed an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday honours on 8 June 2020.
