Triple M is saddling up for a new era of sport with the launch of Triple M Racing, bringing the network trackside for the biggest days of the 2026 Spring Racing Carnival from Saturday, 3 October.
From its first call today at Flemington’s TAB Turnbull Stakes Day, Triple M will bring its unmistakable passion and energy to racing: with expert analysis and mounting yard news, plus the unmissable stories and personalities that define the network’s coverage of Australia’s biggest sporting moments.
At the centre of Triple M Racing will be three-time Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Glen Boss, who joins the network as an expert commentator. One of Australian racing’s most accomplished jockeys, Boss famously rode Makybe Diva to all three of her Melbourne Cup victories.
Renowned racing broadcaster Michael Felgate will lead the coverage, hosting Triple M Racing live from the track, while racing presenter Caty Price will bring listeners all the colour and analysis from the field.
Talent from across Triple M will also feature throughout the Carnival, bringing together some of the country’s most recognised racing and sports voices across the network’s audio coverage.
Triple M will take the official race call and surround every major race with its own trackside coverage, from the latest conditions and expert analysis to interviews, stories from the track, and colour from the course.
The coverage will build across the Spring Carnival towards the 2026 Lexus Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, 3 November, with Triple M set to be trackside for racing’s biggest day, with further commentary announcements to come.
John Kelly, SCA Managing Director – Audio, said: “Triple M’s sport offering continues to grow, reflecting the undeniable passion Australians have for sport and the way audiences are increasingly engaging with live and on-demand coverage. Racing is a natural addition to Triple M’s sporting portfolio, giving us another opportunity to bring our distinctive approach to some of Australia’s biggest sporting moments and continue to meet our audiences where they are.
“We’re excited about what Triple M Racing will deliver for listeners, while creating new opportunities for our advertisers and partners to connect with audiences around the biggest moments of the Spring Carnival.”
Kylie Rogers, Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Triple M Racing to Flemington for the 2026 Spring Racing Carnival. Through its trademark energy, expert voices and passion for Australian sport, Triple M will put racing and sporting fans at the heart of the action, capturing the colour, entertainment and unforgettable moments that make our racedays at Flemington so special.”
Aaron Morrison, Racing Victoria Chief Executive, said: “We’re excited to welcome Triple M on board to broaden the coverage of our feature racedays and engage new audiences. Triple M’s raceday broadcast will be a really unique and entertaining way for people to experience all the action of the Spring Racing Carnival. Those who can’t make it trackside to any of our feature racedays don’t have to miss a minute with great broadcast options like Triple M available.”
Glen Boss said: “I’m pumped to join Triple M for the network’s first racing season. We’ve got a huge Spring Carnival coming up, and I can’t wait to get trackside, talk racing and give listeners an insight into what’s happening on and off the track. There’s an undeniable electricity before a big race, and I’m looking forward to bringing listeners all the excitement with Triple M.”
Triple M’s Racing begins this Saturday, 3 October, broadcasting live from Flemington for TAB Turnbull Stakes Day on 105.1 Triple M Melbourne from 12 pm. Coverage will expand to Triple M’s metro markets for major Spring Racing Carnival days, with all audio coverage live streamed and available on LiSTNR.
